This is Lesson 3 in a three-part series of Google Slide lessons on reading for the main idea in nonfiction texts. This last lesson will teach students how to use the first and last sentences in nonfiction passages to find the main idea. Once the students read the sentences in the passage closely, ask themselves questions, and think about the text, they will be able to tell what the passage is about.
