Reading Non-Fiction for the Main Idea – Lesson 1

This is Lesson 1 in a three part series of Google Slide lessons on reading for the main idea in nonfiction texts. This first lesson will teach students how to identify and describe the main idea in nonfiction passages or books using the title. This will help students determine what the text or book is mostly about as they read. Once the students can put and use the title in a sentence, they will be able to tell what the book or passage is about.
