Reading Fiction for the Main Idea – Lesson 2

This is Lesson 2 in a two-part series of Google Slide Lessons on reading for the main idea in fiction texts. This second lesson will teach students how to read and use text details to identify and describe the main idea in a fiction text. They will learn how to recognize that supporting details in a text are more specific than the main idea. If the students understand that supporting details lead to the main idea, then they can read more efficiently, concentrating on the important information that will lead to answers to multiple choice and short questions.
